Our commitment

Every piece of ground has potential, and everyone should be able to find out what theirs can grow. Growable Ground is working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.

Where we are honestly

This is a target we are working toward, not a conformance claim we have audited and certified. We are a small team, and we would rather tell you what we know falls short than let you discover it:

  • Interactive maps. Our contamination and parcel maps are canvas-rendered. Panning, zooming, and clicking individual sites are difficult or impossible with a keyboard or a screen reader. This is the biggest known gap.
  • Data-dense report sections. Some report cards and charts convey information through layout and color that may not carry over cleanly to assistive technology.
  • Third-party components. Some parts of checkout and address autocomplete come from outside providers, and we do not fully control their markup.

If something is in your way

Email [email protected] and tell us what you were trying to do. Two things will happen: we will get you the information you were after by another route — a person will read your parcel data to you if that is what it takes — and we will prioritize a fix. Please include the page and the assistive technology you use, if you can; it makes the fix faster.
